Figures argentines

Description

Always curious and in search of new horizons, the musicians of the Voce quartet fell in love with Argentina during concert tours. In Buenos Aires or Rosario, they frequented peñas and milongas (folk dances) and had exciting working sessions with the illustrious Dino Saluzzi... they thus decided to ask composers Fernando Fiszbein, Gabriel Sivak, and Jean-Baptiste Henry to write music and arrangements for them. They perform these with the great Argentine guitarist Pablo Marquez and Jean-Baptiste Henry on bandoneon. This program with varied colors lets us hear tangos, as well as zamba, chacarera, cueca, baguala... Not to mention a tribute to Piazzolla (Four for Tango for string quartet) and Alberto Ginastera, with his first string quartet and his emblematic sonata for guitar.
