A genius of melody, this self-taught multi-instrumentalist (guitar, bass, piano, drums) and singer decided to engage with classical music at the dawn of his fifties. […] Co-written with composer Carl Davis, the Liverpool Oratorio was premiered on June 28 and 29, 1991, at the Anglican Cathedral of Liverpool.
