Description

The Belgian band Psychonaut and the Norwegian band Saver are similar in many ways: both groups embody and explore heavy music in its dimension and physical impact while addressing themes related to spirituality and philosophy. Their compositions often stretch to nearly 20 minutes, and both bands redefine the concept of the classic power trio in the context of heavy and modern production; where SAVER advocates for calculated minimalism, PSYCHONAUT employs an arsenal of percussion instruments on their recordings, and it is even more astonishing to see how they manage to construct cathedrals of sound as a trio in a live context. Two tracks presented here, but 36 minutes of new music by these two spearheads of modern heavy music.
