Description

The Belgian band Psychonaut and the Norwegian band Saver resemble each other in many ways: both groups embody and explore heavy music in its physical dimension and impact while addressing themes related to spirituality and philosophy. Their compositions often stretch to nearly 20 minutes, and both bands redefine the concept of the classic power trio in the context of heavy, modern production; where SAVER advocates for calculated minimalism, PSYCHONAUT employs an arsenal of percussion instruments in their recordings, and it is even more astonishing to see how they manage to create cathedral-like soundscapes as a trio in a live setting. Two tracks presented here, but 36 minutes of unreleased music from these two spearheads of modern heavy music.
