Released in 1995, The Gold Experience was Prince's first album under his unpronounceable "Love Symbol" name, at the height of his battle against one of the music industry's biggest major labels. With the word "Slave" written on his cheek, Prince shone on ballads like "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World” and "Gold," and the provocative single "[eye] Hate U”. The album was a huge critical success. Available as a double black LP.
