This album features 9 tracks corresponding to an unreleased recording of Prince on piano. This was recorded in 1983 on a cassette in his home studio. It offers a rare and intimate glimpse into Prince's creative process. Includes the tracks "17 Days" and "Purple Rain" (which would later be released in 1984), the cover of Joni Mitchell's "A Case Of You," as well as "International Lover" and "Strange Relationship" (released in 1987 on Sign O' The Times). Also included is a recording of "Mary Don't You Weep," a cover of a 19th-century gospel song, featured in the credits of Spike Lee's new film 'BlacKkKlansman'. For fans of the medleys improvised by Prince live, tracks 1 to 7 of the album are presented in their original format.
