"Al Wahem (The Illusion)" marks a concentrated statement from the Swiss-Lebanese duo PRAED, composed of Raed Yassin and Paed Conca, recorded between Beirut and Berlin. The album reinvents Egyptian shaabi through electronics, improvisation, and the raw textures of the street. Each track explores the progressive construction of sound: dual drums, clarinets, basses, and vocal interventions intertwine in hypnotic grooves. The titles play with the balance between space and density, between acoustic sounds and electronic treatments. Al Wahem showcases PRAED mastering and reinterpreting their musical language with precision and intention.
