PPP: a new dazzling collaboration between contemporary club stars Piezo, DJ Plead, and DJ Python. A trio of the best in the game comes together for a new collaborative project on the Wisdom Teeth label by Facta and K-LONE. The project was recorded gradually over a period of two years in Piezo's studio in Milan. The first sketches were written when Python came to stay for a few days at the end of 2023. Later, when Plead passed through the city, he stopped by to add his own contributions – and the record grew gradually and organically from there over several visits. The initial operating mode was to develop a distorted version of early 2000s minimalism and tech house – but at some point, the album took on a life and soul of its own, expanding in several disparate yet interconnected creative directions: from the euphoria/melancholy of the peak moments in "Wisconsin" to the shoegaze minimalism of "Please," through the prog psychedelia of "Bborn Again," the glitchy reconstructions of Perlon in "Pez," and the downtempo downbeat of "Coni." At times, their individual voices clearly break through: whether it's Python's whale song melodies on "Coni," Plead's frantic drums on "Wisconsin," or Piezo's sound design excesses on "Pez." At other times, the connections are harder to find, as the record takes on a unique voice well beyond the sum of its parts.
