NO WORK SONGS

Description

In 2022, the Possible(s) Quartet presents "No Work Songs," a title with a dual reference: first, to the unprecedented situation we experienced in 2020-21, without concerts but without ceasing to work, with the desire and need to continue creating, playing our instruments, writing new music, rehearsing it, recording it, performing it, alone or as a group. There is also the wish to invent a workshop of possibilities where we imagine, where we dream, where we build, where we tirelessly perfect our craft, a "Jazz workshop" with refined melodies and harmonies on which the lyrical and expressive flights of the soloists can fully take their place. From intimate songs inviting reverie to more outward protest songs, from bluesy swaying to complex rhythms, the repertoire will thus continue to explore the path of this chamber brass band, of this "wind" string quartet that combines the sharpness of brass with the woody warmth of the bass clarinet.
