THE NEW PROJECT FROM PRODUCER PONE (FONKY FAMILY) AND RAPPER KARLITO (MAFIA K'1 FRY). Pone is the founder of Fonky Family and an acclaimed producer of numerous tracks for 113, Le Rat Luciano, Diam's, Rohff, Don Choa, among others. Diagnosed with ALS in 2015, he achieved the technical feat of producing the album Kate & Me in 2019, solely using his eyes, a world first covered by media globally. Becoming more and more technically proficient, Pone reached out to his lifelong friend Karlito, a member of Mafia K'1 Fry, in early 2020. Together, they experienced the golden age of French rap and toured all over France with Fonky Family. This album immerses the listener in Karlito's striking life experiences, accompanied by Pone's unique instrumentals. The result is seven thoughtful, remarkably well-written tracks, recounting no less than twenty years of life and street poetry. On the first single "SOS," the former Mafia K'1 Fry member indulges in some introspective, sung reflections, reminding us of his daily life and struggles, over an ethereal production by Pone. A beautiful introduction to Pone's true return to French rap since the FF era.
