Pippo Pollina, a Sicilian singer-songwriter living in Switzerland, is a self-proclaimed pacifist. A former conscientious objector, he has long used his music to denounce abuses of power and champion humanity and peace. Now, at a time when war is once again part of our daily lives – at least in the news – the successful singer-songwriter dedicates an entire album to it: Fra guerra e pace (Between War and Peace). Fra guerra e pace is a political statement, a poetic warning, and a glimmer of hope in these troubled times. The album recounts war, past and present, and its consequences for people. Pippo Pollina dedicates this album "to the innocents who die beneath the bombs falling from the sky of this world."
