This record marks not only the very first release of the soundtrack for the game "This War of Mine", but also the 10th anniversary of the game. With its best-seller status, cult following among players, educational value, and recognition as a poignant symbol of the threat war poses to human lives, highlighted by distinctions such as the recent special award from Amnesty International. It has been a decade of remarkable success. Yet, we cannot truly celebrate while wars continue to cost lives, destroying humanity with relentless and senseless cruelty. But weeping in silence would be equally futile. Instead, we are once again using This War of Mine as a platform for change via the charity DLC Forget Celebrations, now available for the PC version (Steam) of the game. Composer Piotr Musiał reflects on the process of creating the music for This War of Mine and emphasizes the importance the soundtrack still holds for him: "This War of Mine was one of those projects where picking up an electric guitar and playing on it seemed like a good idea, even though I had never done it before. It gave the music that raw character — it is rough around the edges to match the dark atmosphere of the game. Just like its characters, I felt lost at first and it took me time to figure everything out. For this and many other reasons, it was an emotional journey and the music still feels special to me."
