Get back

Description

The best rockers from L.A. reunited on a killer album. STEPHEN MCBEAN, the singer of BLACK MOUNTAIN, brought together the very rock’n’roll PINK MOUNTAINTOPS in his new Los Angeles HQ for a thunderous comeback. Get Back, the new album, is inspired by “the alleys, the sidewalks, the walls, the concert flyers pierced by cigarettes. An island on the Pacific coast. Fake British towns. Slayer posters. The beauty of youth. Listening to ‘Driver’s Seat’ and ‘Guns of Brixton.’” Los Angeles has brought its share of talent into the band’s orbit: in addition to ANNIE HARDY and the brilliant J MASCIS, there are ROB BARBATO (Darker My Love, The Fall, Cass McCombs), STEVE KILLE (Dead Meadow), DANIEL ALLAIRE (Brian Jonestown Massacre) and GREGG FOREMAN (Cat Power, Delta 72). RANDAL DUNN (SunnO))), Earth, SunCity Girls, Boris) handled the mixing at Avast! Studios in Seattle while HOWIE WEINBURG (Nirvana, Beastie Boys, Danzig, Ramones, Slayer) mastered the album in Laurel Canyon.
