Oeuvres pour orgue BWV 539 542 590 593 654 & 768

Description

That was the original idea behind a concert I had the pleasure of giving on the organ of the Sainte-Croix church in Aubusson in July 1998, and which served as the starting point for the making of this recording. More than a musicological or historical journey, the guiding thread of this album is more a kind of discovery voyage, a “tasting menu,” allowing the listener to explore different facets of the composer, but also of the instrument by organ builder Gérald Guillemin.” Pierre Méa “A love at first sight for a reconstructed Silbermann? Pierre Méa’s performance is beautiful, inspired, fruity, without excess speed, as we like them, the whole essence of this music is fully savored in every note?” ResMusica
