This Venice Notebook restitutes in its own way the characteristic sound landscape of the city of the Doges, mixed with the chosen inflections of Monteverdi's madrigals. Water games, children's voices, sounds of bells, rubbing of mooring cables... from Torcello to the Ghetto, passing through San Marco or Giudecca, these collected, edited, and transformed sounds reveal the powerful and poetic thought of one of the historical masters of concrete music. Could one better accompany the reconstruction of Pierre Henry's studio at the Museum of Music than with this world premiere of a work that remained unreleased on record for 17 years?
