Je n'ai plus peur de danser

Description

I'm no longer afraid to dance. It was with these few words that it all began. It may seem trivial, but no longer being afraid to dance means accepting to be watched, to let go, and to disregard what others think. It means accepting your movements and feeling free, showing yourself without artifice to shout your joy of being there. It means accepting to say "I". It is this "I" that has fueled, for several months now, Pierre Guénard's need to sing under his own name and venture out alone, after two Radio Elvis albums and several great distinctions, including a Victoire de la Musique award. And since he's hitting the dance floor, he says it all, unfiltered, like so many confidences to a friend. Throughout the songs, Pierre reveals himself simply, as he is, in a writing style akin to a logbook that seeks only the essential. It's raw, almost immodest, but always sincere. Between shadow(s) and light(s), rock and pop-rock songs, Pierre Guénard's album is listened to like watching a film or reading a novel. Produced by Jérémie Arcache (founder of the bands Rover, Code for Music, and Mon frère et moi), recorded and mixed by Etienne Caylou (Eddy de Pretto, Christine and the Queens, Woodkid), it has given pride of place to the crème de la crème of French musicians.
