Contes russes

Description

What is a tale without a storyteller? The expression of charms without an enchanter. The tale contains statements that can only be effective when spoken aloud. Faithful to their credo as transmitters of great texts, Éditions Frémeaux & Associés therefore today offer young and older listeners five Russian tales voiced by the rhythmic, deep, and enveloping voice of Pierre Arditi. They are enhanced by musical accompaniment inspired by both folk and classical traditions (Vincent Peirani is on accordion), which forms a skillful counterpoint to the twists and turns of the text and to the prosodic cadences of the storyteller.
