The two live recordings from 2003 document two leading Bach interpreters of our time: Philippe Herreweghe and Ton Koopman. Coming from the school and environment of the legendary Gustav Leonhardt, these two artists and their ensembles have had a lasting influence on the current tradition of interpreting Bach's music. These live recordings are complemented by the world premiere recording of the 6th Brandenburg Concerto on period instruments featuring Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Gustav Leonhardt, and Eduard Melkus.
