Peter Schilling (Pierre Michael Schilling by his full name), born on January 28, 1956 in Stuttgart (Germany), is a German synthpop musician, notably known for the tracks Major Tom (1983) and Different Story (World of Lust and Crime) (1989)1.
His work often addresses science fiction themes (nuclear holocaust, extraterrestrials, cosmonauts), as in his 1983 album, Error in the System, inspired by David Bowie’s 1969 classic, Space Oddity. It is on this album that his only major international hit belongs, Major Tom (Coming Home), initially sung in German, then in English.
Reissue of the 3rd album released in 1983.
