Peter Gall, whose album Love Avatar won the 2025 German Jazz Award for "Album of the Year," returns with DRUM SEEDS, a record that explores a completely different facet of his universe. Driven by raw energy and analog sounds, the album places drums and original rhythms at the center, without limiting itself to a mere stylistic exercise around percussion. Gall moves away from traditional jazz to build a hybrid universe, blending beats, vintage synthesizers, ambient, electronic, and jazz influences. The tracks evolve between wild rhythms, hypnotic atmospheres, and more melodic passages, evoking both Aphex Twin and Caribou as well as the jazz of the 60s-70s, David Lynch, or Blade Runner. DRUM SEEDS thus asserts a distinctly personal identity, where groove and experimentation occupy a central place.
