Folk, rock, therefore, but also jazz and rhythm'n'blues, such have been the sources that inspired the London formation, and more particularly the virtuoso guitarists Bert Jansch and John Renbourn and the double bassist Danny Thompson. Released in 1968 in the form of a double album, "Sweet Child" is the second opus of Pentangle. In addition to the original recordings, this reissue marketed by Sanctuary includes alternative takes recorded in the studio, as well as six live recordings, which allow us to appreciate the leading role that Pentangle played in the evolution of British popular music. Just like the early albums of King Crimson, and before those of Genesis, "Sweet Child" even marked a break with the United States.
