Such was the verdict of Forum Opéra following the performance delivered in 2020 by Pene Pati in Gounod's Roméo et Juliette at the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux. The exalted aria of Roméo "Ah! Lève-toi soleil" is featured in the program of this recital, which is Pene Pati's very first. His program, which includes Verdi, Rossini, Donizetti, Meyerbeer, Gounod, and Benjamin Godard, adds to a selection of famous tenor arias some precious rarities: alongside arias from Rigoletto, Manon, and Guillaume Tell, there are also selections from La battaglia di Legnano, Moïse et Pharaon, L’Étoile du Nord, Polyeucte, and Jocelyn.
