A lively popular music, played joyfully in pubs. To interpret this music, nothing beats the royal formation, the violin-piano duo. On violin, Pascal Gemme, one of the best current fiddlers, who practices an ornate and precise playing style, both energetic and flexible. On piano, Mario Loiselle, a master in the art of maintaining the rhythm and revealing the harmony. Gathered for the first time, these accomplished artists celebrate a Quebec capable of both assimilating external influences (Irish, English, Italians) and fiercely defending its identity.
