Not everyone has their one and only prank album from British artist Banksy (who replaced the cover with a photo of bare breasts). No, not everyone is Paris Hilton, who has lived under the public eye since, well, forever. She first announced her intention to make an album in 2003 during her appearance on the reality TV series The Simple Life. Initially titled Screwed, then Paris Is Burning, the record – ultimately simply titled Paris – was released in 2006. And it was... uh... good? Yes, really. This album goes from one expensive pedicure to another with everything that Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, or any other pop culture singer of that ilk has ever released, and the Parisian heiress shows real skill both in her taste for the material and in the manipulation of her sex-symbol image à la Madonna. And her voice? Certainly respectable despite what detractors have said. Indeed, the single "Stars Are Blind" entered the top 20, and the album itself reached #6, selling over 600,000 copies worldwide. Since Paris finally responded to her fans' requests and made a second album, we thought it was time for a revival of Paris, so we took the attractive packaging photos of the CD and gave them plenty of space to showcase their work, with a gatefold cover and a printed inner sleeve in 4 colors. And for this release, we are pressing the album of Paris in her favorite color, pink... and of course, it's hot! A memento of pop culture from a lasting pop culture icon!
