At just 20 years old, the five Australians PARCELS are thinking big. The group formed in high school in 2014. It was in their hometown, Byron Bay, that a certain idea of musical hedonism, navigating from the Beach Boys to Daft Punk, took shape. Based in Berlin since the end of high school, Parcels combines a unique taste for compositional perfection with the intense pleasure of playing live. Those who have seen them in concert know. Notably Daft Punk, who produced the track “Overnight” born from their meeting after a Parisian performance by the Australians. After an EP (Hideout), the track “Overnight” and then the single “Tieduprightnow” which launched Parcels onto all stages (New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, Sydney...) and into everyone's minds, the band is now preparing for the big leap of their first album. This album aims to be an entity where each track reveals a territory and where all these states constitute a country: an immoderate taste for funk groove, a fascination for pop compositions, while also exploring electronic territories and the tropicalism of the sixties. The Australian sun has just risen over Berlin.
