Who doesn't remember the hit "Ann Wants To Dance"? The soundtrack of summer 2015 and filmed by Soko (over 9 million views), this sunny and addictive tune laid the groundwork for the four-handed songwriting of Ulysse Cottin (the brunette) and Armand Penicaut (the blonde), the 2 members of the group Papooz. After a first album Green Juice in 2016, sold over 20,000 copies, and then a second Night Sketches, in March 2019, which took them on the roads of France, Europe, and the United States (for about ten dates all played to sold-out crowds), the duo is preparing to present to the public their 3rd album None of this Matters Now on the label Half Awake. It is an album with folk-rock sounds, mainly influenced by the music scene that emerged in Laurel Canyon in the 70s (Crosby, Still & Nash, Neil Young, Gram Parson, Joni Mitchell, Dylan…) and recorded LIVE in a studio in the southwest of France. “We wanted to create a timeless album with more acoustic sounds than the previous one” - Armand Penicaut, half of Papooz.
