The Venezuelan trumpet virtuoso Pacho Florez thrilled the audience that filled the Royal Albert Hall during the BBC Proms concert given last year by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of its conductor Domingo Hindoyan. Pacho and Domingo have a true alchemy on stage, they are old friends and both were part of the West East Divan Orchestra under the direction of Daniel Barenboim. This album showcases Pacho as a composer and soloist. His brilliant concerto "Albares" is vibrant, rhythmic, and wonderfully written for the instrument.
