Warte Mein Land, Warte

Description

Young Ata was a prodigy of the baglama, the long-necked Anatolian lute. So talented that the great Asik Mahzuni Serif took him on tour. At that time, Ata was only thirteen years old. Ata's father was distrustful and forbade him from playing music. By the late 70s, young adult Ata had written the first cycle of Anatolian music songs in German. He wanted to arrive, live in Germany, and communicate with the majority society. He wanted to make audible what was wrong. The lament was only overshadowed by Ata's contagious optimism.
