OZ, pioneers of European heavy metal formed in Nakilla (Finland) in 1977, included Tapani Hämäläinen, Kari Elo, Tauno Vajavaara and Pekka Mark. After conquering Finland, the band moved to Stockholm in 1983 and signed with Tyfon Grammofon AB, becoming one of the most influential bands in Scandinavian heavy metal. They released five major albums: OZ (1982), Fire In The Brain (1983), III Warning (1984), Decibel Storm (1985) and their last, Roll The Dice (1991), before disbanding.
