Description

Finnish conductor Klaus Mäkelä dedicates his first album to the symphonic work of Jean Sibelius. The Oslo Philharmonic has been performing Sibelius’s music for more than a century, and Mäkelä is the first conductor to record the complete cycle of the Nordic master’s symphonies. This edition includes the composer’s 7 symphonies, including the symphonic poem Tapiola and the fragments of the “lost” Eighth Symphony.
