The Finnish conductor Klaus Mäkelä releases his first album of the symphonic works of Jean Sibelius. The Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra has been performing Sibelius's music for over a century, and Mäkelä is the first conductor to record the complete symphonies of the Nordic master. This edition includes the 7 symphonies of the composer, including the symphonic poem Tapiola and the fragments of the 'lost' eighth symphony.
