Mutilator Defeated At Last

Description

Here is a new salvo from Thee Oh Sees, ready to be absorbed: nine tracks cut for impact, brutal and visceral. Where Drop explored a sonic schizophrenia between heaviness and lightness, Mutilator Defeated at Last returns to the monolithic power of Floating Coffin. Barely two short moments of respite temper this sonic assault: an album designed to be played loud, demanding total physical devotion. Despite its crushing weight, Thee Oh Sees remain insatiable and adventurous. Synths and acoustic guitars snake through the album like veins of gold in granite, enriching this carefully orchestrated chaos. Nothing resists their passage: everything is absorbed, digested, and delivered back with devastating intensity. This is the sound of a band in full command of its art. First release on the band’s brand-new label, DEATHGOD CORP. “The exciting John Dwyer and his acolytes take us to the best of rock with ‘Mutilator Defeated at Last’.” ---- Les Inrockuptibles ----. “Its sharp blend of garage, punk, psychedelic rock and fuzz having become their trademark shows just how much Thee Oh Sees has become one of the best bands in their field and that they are not about to stop.” ---- Les Oreilles Curieuses ----.
