'Moonshadows,' named after a seaside bar in Malibu where the Orgone crew routinely plays Saturday night sets, is the band’s homage to yacht rock, sweater funk, and late-night cruises down the Pacific Coast Highway. The album conjures images of neon and moonlight glinting off ocean waves, undulating rhythms, martinis, and luxury convertibles. There is nothing lightweight about these songs, though. All the hallmarks of Orgone’s signature production—authentic sounds and hard-hitting grooves—permeate this ten-song album. For this record, Orgone dug deep into their bench of talent to showcase vocal performances from Adryon de León, Woolfy, Masauko Chipembere, Terin Ector, Jamie Allensworth, and more.
