ORDEN OGAN is an absolute reference in the power metal scene and is essential to the international metal scene. Since their first album 'Vale' (2008), ORDEN OGAN has moved from insider status to that of an undisputed major band. With their latest album "Final Days," the band managed to reach third place (!) in the official German album charts in 2021, and on Spotify, they have over half a million monthly listens. The seventh and final album 'The Order of Fear' by the German band, led by mastermind Sebastian "Seeb" Levermann, is a triumphant march, a lesson in itself: an album that hits harder than ever before and is probably the toughest ORDEN OGAN has ever released. "The album is much more streamlined," admits Seeb. "To the point. So it's more metallic, more direct, and perhaps more 'real.' "The guitars are more prominent, but it doesn't work without orchestral elements," he laughs. "The Order of Fear" fits perfectly into the band's impressive catalog: less progressive than "Easton Hope," less pop than "Final Days," and harder than "To The End." It fills a gap with shorter, punchier songs. And Seeb knows how to write songs, as has been impressively shown in recent years: anthems like "Gunman" and "The Things We Believe In" each total around 15 million clicks on Spotify. The creation of "The Order of Fear" was not an easy task, as Seeb recalls: "At the beginning of the composition, we were at an impasse. We knew where we wanted to go, but we weren't really making progress." Then came the truly surprising twist: a hardcore fan from Uruguay caught the band's attention with his stunning covers of ORDEN OGAN songs. Seeb recounts: "One phone call later, it was clear that we would compose together. This guy is crazy, he breathes ORDEN OGAN and immediately knew what we had in mind for 'The Order of Fear,' a perfect Hollywood story for a movie. There are ten tracks on 'The Order Of Fear,' three of which feature his parts. For Seeb, it was a unique opportunity to see his band from a different angle - and for ORDEN OGAN, it was an essential outside perspective. Then the knot was untied and a real explosion of good ideas followed. "The rest practically wrote itself. All the time, I clearly knew where I wanted to go, but I just couldn't see the path until now. After the Corona crisis, which led to the cancellation of two ORDEN OGAN headlining tours (with supporters "Grave Digger" and "Rage" or "Brothers of Metal" and "Wind Rose"), it was a true liberation. Behind a beautiful cover by Dan Goldsworthy, filled with numerous references to previous album covers, lies a beast of a record. A manifesto of dark power metal that continues the dark story of the cursed protagonist Alister Vale. "The story we have told on our previous albums has long since developed a life of its own," explains Seeb. "It has now become a real story, but it has not yet been written outside of the lyrics."
