SONGS FOR A SECOND GRACE (vinyl)

Description

Opac is Pierre-Alexis Cottereau's musical project. Initially conceived as a personal space for experimentation, it led to an EP in 2018, followed in 2020 by a self-produced debut album, *In Fragments*. Performed and recorded alone on a four-track recorder, this album features dense instrumentals, hazy, introspective atmospheres. Initially released digitally, the album was later released on vinyl by Figures Libres Records. Opac then became a quartet to adapt this repertoire for the stage and give it more intensity. Pierre-Alexis is joined by Brice Cadouot, Pablo Coudrin, and Philémon Tranchant, musicians from the new music scene in Tours, like him (Stuffed Foxes, Common Insight, Mossaï Mossaï). It was in this formation, and collectively this time, that 'Songs For A Second Grace' was composed and recorded over the last two years. "OPAC is a fragile and tenacious gem, between folk and electric. OPAC bewitches us!" --- LA FACE B ---. All songs are written and composed by Opac. Recorded and mixed by Lionel Laquerrière at "L'Eskal" studio and "Studio de la Brisse" in January and March 2023. Mastered by Peter Deimel.
