Description

Omnia is a Dutch neofolk and Celtic music band. They play many pieces of their own composition, but also some samples of music from Ireland, Brittany, or even Afghanistan. Their music was entirely acoustic in the early years, but the addition of a synthesizer within the group has given them a wider range of sound. Omnia charms fans of folk, Celtic music, Scandinavian music, gothic, metal, and medieval music alike. Omnia has performed at numerous gothic, folk, fantasy, and medieval festivals in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Austria, and Hungary. Their home is the Castlefest festival in Lisse, Netherlands. The artists sing in English, Gaelic, Breton, Finnish, German, Latin, or even Hindi, depending on the pieces. They also play the Celtic harp, harmonica, hurdy-gurdy, bodhrán, guitar, violin, bouzouki, didgeridoo, various flutes, bagpipes, and different drums and other percussion instruments. This new album is their 18th since 2000!
