Le petit livre d'Anna Magdalena Bach

Description

A compilation of works by the great Jean-Sébastien Bach for his wife. A must-have for any music library! A gift to Anna Magdalena Bach from her husband Jean-Sébastien, this little book quickly became a family album. Their sons (Johann Christian, Carl Philipp Emanuel, Gottfried Heinrich) also used it for their composition exercises. However, this book is also open to other composers of the period. It contains keyboard pieces (mainly minuets, marches and polonaises) as well as songs and chorales. This recording is served by some of today’s greatest artists in the baroque field, gathered around harpsichordist Olivier Baumont: Anne Magouët, Christine Plubeau, Aurélien Delage and Julien Chauvin.
