People Hear What They See

Description

This album speaks of influence, inspiration, perception, and reality. Each song was written in an external environment, so I could observe the subjects that would become my subjects. Too often in Hip Hop, reality is limited to the actual experiences of the artists. People Hear What They See is my attempt to free the MC from these constraints and allow reality to be written beyond my own. Listening to members of Congress and lawyers conversing on the steps of the Supreme Court inspired 'American Greed', while watching a couple argue on the phone in a bar inspired 'Maybes'. By having a visual representation of my subject, I hope the listener will see it through the words and melodies of my songs.
