OBSCURA’s live album “A Celebration I - Live in North America” will be released as a CD jewelcase. “A Celebration I - Live in North America” is the new live album by the metal band OBSCURA. Recorded in the United States, Canada and Mexico between 2022 and 2023 as part of the band’s “A Valediction World Tour,” the album takes listeners on a journey through Obscura’s discography, featuring fan favorites from albums such as “Cosmogenesis,” “Omnivium,” “Akroasis,” “Diluvium” and the charting “A Valediction.” “A Celebration I” was mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordstrom at Fredman Studio, where the band’s mastermind, Steffen Kummerer, worked with him to select the perfect set list to share with fans. Steffen Kummerer comments: “A Celebration I - Live in North America covers a selection of concerts we played in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico between 2022 and 2023 as part of the ‘A Valediction World Tour’. In 20 years, we are looking back on Obscura’s first live album, featuring songs from our last five releases. It was a pleasure to work on every recorded show to choose the best song, the loudest possible audience and an outstanding performance from a band on fire. As a first impression, we chose ‘The Anticosmic Overload’ performed in the United States of America, as it was the first song we played in North America in 2009.”
