Evidencia
Description
Parcours de Nina PapaBorn in Santo Antônio de Pádua in 1971, Nina Papa began singing at the age of 15 in the college choir directed by Celine Lavaquial, who was trained at the Villa Lobo faculty. Later, she participated in several Brazilian festivals. From 1990 to 2001, she settled in St Martin and toured the Caribbean several times. She regularly performs in venues such as the Sammana, the Carl Gustaff, the Méridien, the Guahanani… Since 2002, she has been living in the south of France where she showcases her talent in prestigious establishments, such as Le Crillon in Paris, the Hôtel de Paris in Monaco, or the Hôtel Martinez in Cannes among others. She also performs at jazz festivals such as the Festival de la Voix in Ajaccio, the Rhinno Jazz, the Jazz à Juan… With the musicians of the “Jobim Project,” she continues her journey in numerous festivals across the hexagon. Her first album, “Senza Fine,” is very bossa nova oriented and is inspired by Carlos Jobim, Elis Regina, Cole Porter, Chico Buarque, and Billy Hollyday. The second album, “Evidencia,” is more jazz, but does not forget samba and Brazilian rhythms. The touch is more acoustic and more intimate.
