“WHA,” the new album by Nina Attal produced by Jerry Barnes, the bassist from Chic: groove guaranteed! Nina Attal was born to perform on stage, so it is no coincidence that she has been giving concerts since the age of 16. In May 2010, she released her first self-produced E.P., Urgency, which blended Blues with Soul and Funk, her other preferred styles. This was followed by more than 200 concerts in 4 years, in France and abroad. It was also at this time that she wrote, with Philippe Devin, composer and guitarist, her first album Yellow 6/17, released in 2011. Today, Nina Attal returns with her second album WHA, recorded at the legendary Avatar Studios in New York. Jerry Barnes, Nile Rodgers’ bassist, and Philippe Devin are at the helm. Jerry’s innate groove and his experience as a producer highlight Nina’s funk, pop and rock influences and give her work a new dimension.
