The Sonata by Heiden, carried by a limpid form and a theme embracing the twelve tones, opens onto a concrete modernity. The Sonata in F by Fontanesi unfolds a Tema con variazioni where light and density gradually transform, up to a Rondò with bluish shadows. In Bacchus by D'Agostino, originally conceived for horn and wind orchestra and presented here in a version with piano, the ancient ritual blends with the Todi raga and culminates on a high C.
