Live at the Queen Elisabeth Competition
Description
This album brings together the interpretations with which Dutch pianist Nikola Meeuwsen won the First Prize of the Queen Elisabeth Competition 2025. His artistic maturity is revealed in the deeply inhabited Variations sérieuses by Mendelssohn, the visionary and passionate Dante Sonata by Liszt, as well as in the imaginative Études by Ana Sokolovic. The program is completed by Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 9 "Jeunehomme", with the Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie under the direction of Vahan Mardirossian. These recordings bear witness to the clarity, imagination, and expressive freedom that make Meeuwsen one of the most remarkable voices of his generation.Buy Live at the Queen Elisabeth Competition at the best price
