The violinist Niklas Liepe was born in Germany in Göttingen and studied music at the Hanover and Cologne Colleges as well as at the Kronberg Academy for his soloist master's degree. He also benefited from the valuable advice of Andras Schiff, Gidon Kremer, and Yuri Bashmet during his participation in various master classes. The 24 Caprices of Paganini for solo violin are among the pieces with the most spectacular virtuosity and the most daunting technical demands. Paganini wrote them between 1802 and 1817 in the spirit of improvised pieces, as if they emerged from the fantasy of his imagination. The violinist Niklas Liepe, winner of the "German Music Competition 2017," has solicited 15 contemporary composers, asking them to create arrangements with orchestra, an original idea. He encourages listening from a completely new perspective on these pieces by the Italian composer, a tremendous virtuoso himself.
