Germaine Tailleferre was the only female member of the Groupe des Six, and her music, combining spirit and energy with neo-classical influences, can be compared to that of Poulenc or Milhaud. This recording, described by the composer's granddaughter as if "Tailleferre herself is playing her works," is the first of a three-volume complete edition of her piano music by Nicolas Horvath.
