Bof Ost Il Etait Une Forait

Description

Il était une forêt is a French documentary film directed by Luc Jacquet. It is the filmmaker’s third feature film after La Marche de l'empereur and Le Renard et l'Enfant. With this new film, Luc Jacquet takes us on an extraordinary journey into the depths of the tropical forest... to the heart of life itself. For the first time, a tropical forest will be born before our eyes. From the first sprout to the flourishing of giant trees, from the canopy to the development of the hidden links between plants and animals, no fewer than 7 centuries will pass before our eyes. The original music was composed by Eric Neveux (more than 35 film soundtracks). The role of the music and its place in Il était une forêt is essential. Eric Neveux explores a very broad musical universe, from the classical orchestra to electronic programming, including more abstract textures, to bring all the originality and elegance to his composition. The orchestral parts underline the epic and “wonderful” dimension of the story. They are performed by an orchestra of strings, woodwinds and a powerful brass section, also enriched by soloists for the guitar, harp and piano parts. The solo voices and children’s choirs underline man’s connection to the forest, and hope for future generations. The film ends with the original song by Emily Loizeau, “Upon a Forest.”
