With Vanille/Fraise, the fifth project of his career, Nelick is getting closer to the total artist he wants to become. An ambition driven by the desire to create his own musical space, his little nostalgic and colorful kingdom - where his increasingly confident groove draws from rap, R&B, and indie-pop.
This new EP - the first made with the collaboration of the independent label Entreprise (Fishbach, Bagarre, Jäde…) - marks a change in category.
At only 25 years old, Nelick has already been recognized in French rap for many years. After starting out freestyling alone in his corner, a brief group with the rapper Lord Esperanza, several mixtapes and solo EPs that earned him a tight-knit fan community (the “kiwis”); the young artist from Champigny-sur-Marne is clearly no longer a rookie.
