In 1975, Neil Young released Tonight's The Night, an album widely regarded as one of the masterpieces of his repertoire. Although recorded in 1973 in the wake of the immense success of his album Harvest, it was not released until two years later. This album is dedicated to two close friends of Neil, Danny Whitten and Bruce Berry, both of whom passed away the year before the recording. Recorded on analog tape, Tonight's The Night includes some of Young's most brilliant and heartbreaking songs. In addition to the two versions of the title track, the album features "Borrowed Tune," "World on a String," "Mellow My Mind," "Tired Eyes," "Come On Baby Let's Go Downtown," "Albuquerque," and "Roll Another Number (For The Road)."
