'Oceanside Countryside' is the last of Neil Young's "lost" albums to be released as part of his Analog Original Series (AOS). Recorded between May and December 1977, this album precedes 'Comes A Time' (1978). Three tracks "Goin' Back", "Human Highway" and "Field of Opportunity" appear on both albums. This version is the first to respect the originally intended order, including original mixes from the era. Although some tracks are present in the Archives Vol. III, this version pays homage to Neil Young's original intention. He performs all the songs on Oceanside solo, while on Countryside, he is accompanied by a group of talented musicians: Ben Keith (steel guitar), Rufus Thibodeaux (fiddle), Karl T. Himmel (drums) and Joe Osborne (bass).
