In a deeply transformed musical landscape, Jacky Brown and Ben-J are not trying to follow trends: with the calm confidence of those who paved the way, they remind us that they helped shape them. Booba’s presence marks an unprecedented meeting between two major figures of French rap, long evolving on parallel paths. Alongside them, Swiss artist Danitsa brings her world at the crossroads of rap, R&B and Afro sounds. The brothers Gregz & Yoan, heirs to a long R&B and Caribbean tradition revealed notably with Trade Union, naturally extend the dialogue between reggae, soul and urban music. Finally, Says’z brings his own signature, between afropop, R&B and dancehall. A rising Franco-Comorian artist, he embodies a carefree urban scene, open to African and Caribbean influences, and extends the dialogue between heritage and modernity that runs throughout the album.
