At the end of 2022, Neal Morse dedicated his creative efforts to the development of a new rock opera, following the success of "Jesus Christ the Exorcist". Inspiration flowed abundantly, giving birth to nearly two hours of music telling the story of Joseph, known for his coat of many colors, through the prism of progressive rock, in a style that is uniquely his own. Rather than presenting the two parts simultaneously in the form of a double album, Neal chose to release the new opera in two distinct volumes. He felt that the strength of the music and the story justified this approach, as each album could independently testify to its intrinsic value. "The Dreamer - Joseph: Part One" ends with the unjust imprisonment of Joseph. In "The Restoration - Joseph: Part Two", the biblical narrative continues, telling how Joseph's wisdom and intelligence led him to become the vice-regent of Egypt and to reunite with his family.
